I'm pretty sure none of these have been mentioned yet, but if they have they deserve reiteration.
For Breakfast:
Tommy's off Mercury blvd.
Excellent food. They serve pretty much everything but, this is one of the best breakfast places you'll find anywhere. Plus it's super cheap. Don't expect to just walk in and get a table on the weekends though... this place is popular and is generally packed, especially on Sunday after people leave church.
For Lunch:
-sit down meal
The Deli Basket in Hilton Village
One of the few true delicatessens I've seen on this side of the peninsula. It's no NY style (bagel sandwich, yum) deli but the sandwiches are fat and delicious. I've never had a single thing from there that I didn't completely enjoy.
Also, they usually have a guy peddling sandwiches out of coolers in downtown NN around 42nd st.
-quick lunch
The Warwick Cheesechoppe Near CNU, not the one in Williamsburg (although they're good too).
Holy shit! Boars Head meats. EVERY kind of cheese. Fresh Baked specialty breads. Always get the house dressing on your sandwich.
Dinner:
The County Grill Best all around BBQ place! Pierce's and Doumar's are good for specific things, but County Grill does everything right. Best pulled pork sandwich you may ever have. 2nd Wednesday of the month is "Steal a Pint Nite," Buy a pint and keep the glass.
Pubs:
The Weekend Pub on Warwick is great. Too many beers to try. Plus they have tabletop shuffleboard and trivia night. Plus the appetizers are perfect drinking foods.
The Taphouse The one in Hampton is the best dining experience. But the one in Norfolk is a little bit more bar-oriented. Great jukebox though. The food at the Taphouse (Hampton) is unbeatable. Get the Ahi Tuna wrap + their homemade mustard and fries.

Name-Haru Sushi
Location-237 Hanbury Rd. E.
Suite 11
Chesapeake, VA 2332
Number- (757) 482-0043
Ive been here probably ten times and the sushi has been excellent every time. Its a pretty small restaurant, maybe ten tables and seating for 10-15 at the bar, and the atmosphere is really nice. The service has always been great and the staff is very friendly. If your in Chesapeake and want sushi this is the place to go

Not sure if this has already been mentioned...
Name- Cogans Pizza
Location- 1901 Colonial Ave Norfolk (Ghent)
Number- 757-627-6428
Web- http://www.coganspizza.com/ordereze/default.aspx
This is a real fun place to eat. You can order any kind of pizza you want or pick from their pre-arranged ones. Last time there I had one with sliced tomatos, eggplant, and some assortment of cheeses. They've got a ton of different beers too. It's basically a bar that also has a really good pizza shop in it. The girls working there are usually pretty nice looking too!

Anna's Pizza
Everything is good there, but they make the best italian (so italian they call it a 'regular') sub I've ever had! The sub roll is unbeatable.
