CompUSA has available positions to work on the floor. We are looking for individuals who are motivated and focus to help our customers as well as earn more money for themself.


CompUSA is looking for:
- some sales experience preferrably a year at least
- hands-on experience with customer solutions
- a general knowledge on computers, cameras, and software. You don't have to be great at all of it but we need you to be able to put forth enough knowledge to be able to help out the customer
- a focused/motivated attitude

We are hiring people to work mainly in the Upgrades section (hard drives, optical drives, processors, motherboards), Corral section (cameras, camcorders, pdas, and cell phones), and software (games, educational, productivity).

Your pay will depend on your experience. It can start as low as 8.00 an hour. The ability to make a lot of money is all on you. There is great potential because certain items in the store are spiffed. For example, cell phone activations would sometimes be $20 extra for each cell phone on your pay for the 2 weeks. I won't go into too much detail beyond that. If you're serious about this you'll learn more. There is potential to grow within the company too. I used to be a sales associate myself.

i got paid 43k a yr at food lion... bout ummmm 7-8 yrs ago

and food lion starts at 8bux an hr as well

i havent worked for food lion in yrs, but dont degrade another company that pays the same, if not more, than the company you are slaving for.

 

I worked for Food Lion and I started at the bottom and I know first hand how slack the jobs were.

And Food Lion does NOT start at 8.00 an hour. They start at 5.15 (minimum wage). Get your facts straight. How do I know? I got paid that EXACT amount in my sophmore year to junior year in high school. The most any friend I had earn at Food Lion as someone working the floor and/or cashier was like 7.00. Thank you. Plus at CompUSA I said it all depends on your experience and your base pay is summed up with the total of the spiffs you earned. You have a lot of potential for who I work for as well as if you prove yourself you can be promoted to management, business sales, or leadership positions.

I never degraded Food Lion. I just spoke the facts. Don't get so sensitive.

There is a small possibility we could use another one as I believe that one of our technicians is leaving us. We havn't lost/fired a technician in 2 years so it's a pretty stable position.

We're looking for new hires again. In sales... mainly hardware (computers, networking, apple product) and possibly some people for communications (phones, cameras, GPSs, mp3 players).

to expand on what james and i said earlier, we need people to work in our laptop/desktop area full time or part time. compusa has great benefits packages available for full time employees. personal time, sick time, and vacation are available. but be aware that if you come on as a full time employee, you will be working 38-40hrs a week. the environment is pretty chill. sales experience is required for the hardware area. there is commission envolved. the more you sell, the more you make. you have potential to make $15-19/hr. please contact james or myself via pm if you want to know more about the positions available, or come in the norfolk store located next to military circle mall and across from janaf to talk to us about a position.
