I saw the post about the stolen Integra and figured I mention what happened to me. I've got a black 2000 Si and I live out at Newtown Rd. and Baker. I came out to get in my car at about 4am, Mon the 10th of this month. I saw that someone had wiped the frost off the passenger window. So I figured my stereo was jacked or something. I walked around the vehicle and it looked fine. Then I noticed that my hood had been popped open and it wasn't closed all the way. I opened it up and saw that everything was still there. I don't know why my car wasn't taken. Maybe because mines not modified, or maybe someone came by and they ran off. Either way, it looks like some is out shopping around this area.

 

Hmm.......or maybe they were doing there homework? Get some wheel lock key's for your rims...not from pep boys either...

 

That's possible. I've got good locks for my tires. I forgot to mention something else. When I came home that afternoon, I parked infront of my place and tried to figure out how they got the hood open. When I was heading back in the house, this kid who looked about 12 or 13 came riding up on his bike. He asked if I lived here, but he said it in a really weird "I'm a gangsta" kind of way. I asked him why he wanted to know and he just blew me off and road away. I can't help but think that he knows what's going on, so it's possible that this area is where the thieves are at. The place where the Integra was stolen from is right around the corner, and it was stolen the night my car was almost jacked.

 

I would have a few buddies over for a sleepover and take turns watchin out. The take turns beating the hell out of the guys when you catch em.

Eh, you should be fine. I have a feeling he wiped the frost off to see what all you had on the inside, probably didn't see anything that interested him. So he then decided to take a look under the hood - see what he can take. Since you say your car is stock, he probably just moved along.

That is hopeful wishing, he could be back. If you do have wheels on your car, it might be beneficial to throw the stockers back on.

 

Well, I'm up a lot of nights with my baby girl. So, her and I and my collapsible ASP are going to be watching this weekend. I'm also going to box it in between the neighbors van and my wife's car. I've got my camera and cell phone on hand just incase I see them. That would be a nice bust!

 

Stock Si Rims are pretty popular...and can sell for 400 easily!

Damn right. I cought 2 guys trying to break into my neighbor house last weekend. I wont take your thread offtopic thought but it does feel rewarding catching the motherfuckers.

 

Yeah, I live right on Lake Edwards Dr. It didn't look too bad when we got here, but this place is ghetto. I really want to move into a house with a garage and be done with this place.
