Might be because your car is slow. I drive a 95 Cobra and I rev on nobody and I will soon have 4.10s. My friend Matt drives a 96 SCed Cobra making about 470+rwhp and he revs on nobody either.

I have a sign set up for people that rev on me and it says....."I'm not going to race you because you're too slow. Have a nice day." I just pick it up out of the floor board and hold it up for a second so they can read it. Saves me alot of time.

It's just pointless when a civic or something comes up beside a Cobra and the civic has the basic bolt ons. Why would I risk getting a ticket to race something I know I could beat? Let's see here....Lose my license for racing or let him know I won't race because it's a waste of time? I wonder which I would choose.

Nice to meet a fellow moostang driver.
