Sure you can make the same power with the bigger engine but it produces more heat and wear, often needs more precise tuning because of the higher compression, and things like big cams hurt smooth streetability.

"Anything that can be done to increase hp on a smaller motor will always be better on a bigger motor" but that is proportional to how much power your looking for.
ok...take a smallblock...any smallblock you choose...stroke and bore it to it's maxium potential.now do the same to a bigblock, add the same amount of cubes...the same style heads, same style intake...the bigblock will make more hp and torque.yes,i agree with you, smallblocks can be made extremely fast, hell i have a big cubic inch smallblock and it's a beast.but you won't see me competeing against the cars in the fastest streetcar shootouts.a smallblock just won't hang, not when it comes to getting the best et and or mph possible.now, most of run a version of a smallblock or mod motor because of the classes we compete in.i myself have built my car to run in nmra drag radial class...smallblock limited.but when it comes to heads up,no holds barred fastest cars on the dragstrip...95% of them are powered by bigblocks.that is not a opinion...it's just a fact.not here saying smallblocks aren't fast, hell yes they are...just bigblocks are faster.why do guys with smallblocks stroke their motors?to get more cubes.

Forced induction is increasing displacment just a little differently. Adding cubes makes power and so does adding boost and I know you already know this. In events like NMRA Outlaw and drag radial classes turbo cars often dominate. Turbos are simply a better, safer, and often easier way to make big power. Like I said before, you can make the same power whether you go with a big ci engine or a small ci boosted engine. But turbo cars do it more efficiently.
