No.

ENTRAPMENT - A person is 'entrapped' when he is induced or persuaded by law enforcement officers or their agents to commit a crime that he had no previous intent to commit; and the law as a matter of policy forbids conviction in such a case.

However, there is no entrapment where a person is ready and willing to break the law and the Government agents merely provide what appears to be a favorable opportunity for the person to commit the crime. For example, it is not entrapment for a Government agent to pretend to be someone else and to offer, either directly or through an informer or other decoy, to engage in an unlawful transaction with the person. So, a person would not be a victim of entrapment if the person was ready, willing and able to commit the crime charged in the indictment whenever opportunity was afforded, and that Government officers or their agents did no more than offer an opportunity.

this same thing happened up here a couple years ago, guy went on to rob numerous people. the police had a suspect but i dont know if they ever got him.

this is a very dangerous situation, just remember, if you feel iffy about the stop, put your flashers on untill you get to a busy gas station. if it really is a cop, back up will prob come pretty quick when you dont stop

entrapment is the single most misunderstood legal term ever, especially when kids are trying to get off of their tickets.

Kitsap police in Bremerton, WA have a 2005 Black Subaru Legacy as an undercover car, bought it brand new right off the lot. WA state police get tricky! And there are so many BMW's for charleston and SC state police I didn't know what to do with myself. I don't know about about the HR, but a "domestic only" generalization would be quite presumptuous, don't you think?

There are many volunteer Fire Fighters out there that will run lights as well. My uncle was a Vol for a dept up in Long Island NY and he ran about 5 sets of blue lights!

+1 for the *77 tip. I don't know HOW many times I've heard about predators impersonating a police officer on a highway. It's too easy for creeps to get a crown vic and a set of lights.

Anyhow, is the Mustang a cop, or not?

No one knows yet. I'm guessing it is and I'm also guessing it's a v6 mustang because it's an impound and they didn't pay for it anyway.

I saw an F-150 and I believe an Explorer with some pulled over a couple months back on 264W and my friend said he say a Murano with someone pulled on 264 a little before that, there's also a older blue Lumina or Monte Carlo that runs around Western Branch and a red Buick I believe. Suffolk has a white Terminator as well.

I have not heard anything back from the State Police about it yet. Maybe it was a real cop? I dunno.. I still have a hard time believing that when SUV's were going by him at 80mph
