motor trend managed to pull off a 14.2 @ 100.9...so anywhere from low 14's - high 14's on average maybe

 

doesn't the new eclipse have MIVTEC or some shit. but uhh they're ugly as sin in my opinion. when will car designers learn that altezzas are ugly as sin, and played out about 3 years ago? *sigh*

 

They may be played out but you cant deny that they still sell like crazy. Either way tho, the new eclipse looks like ass.

 

You all are crazy! HAVE YOU ACTUALLY BEEN IN ONE OF THEM? Much less have you got up very close with one? And if you havn't seen the car in a pearl black then you don't know what you're missing. It's a beautiful car IMO.

 

I dont really care what they have, I'm a DSM guy so any Eclipse from 2000 and up sucks ass IMO.

 

i have been close to one... they're still ugly. the interior looked nice, i'll give them that, but i still couldn't swallow my pride enought to drive that obscenity.

oh, i completely agree. the first and second gen were on point, awd+turbo = good shit. then they ditch both of those for a crappy v6. oh well

 

I wonder if heads/turbo manifolds bolt from our 3.0L 6G74 to this new 3.8L 6G75.

Why do you guys keep comparing the 2000+ Eclipses to the Eclipses of old. Mitsu. had to make room for the Evo. yeesh. This new Eclipse is a waste though. They needed to throw a V8 in there and compare it to the Mustang/GTO's/Lightnings and the such...lose the Eclipse name too, the whole performance aspect name behind Eclipse in new cars is gone.

 

Lightnings??
