Well, I will somewhat mimic the review in the Virginian Pilot(VP)

The car handles reasonably well. engine sounds nice stock.

suspension is untuned, but i didnt expect more.

0-60MPH was actually not as fast as it should be for 263HP.

one thing I will have to disagree with: The VP said , and i quote, the Eclipse quarter mile clocks in @ 8.3 seconds.


I will repeat, it said the Eclipse clocked an 8.3 second quarter mile drag time.

Im sorry, but 8.3 seconds? I know skylines made for drag that dont do that.

Anyone find this number a tad off?

I was in shock- the Porsche GT2 cup-car doesnt even clock a quarter mile of 8 seconds.

i still have the article. it says 8.3 second quarter mile. NOT 1/8 mile.

 

the pilot has never not f-cked up an article, there all average people who make mistakes, the just need better editors

 

My guess would be 8.3 is the 0-60 time

 

Face it, the new Eclipse is just a fucking monster.

 

I went and test drove one and i loved it.........it sounds and pulls like a beast.....great potential for alot of power!

 

it still doesnt run the 1/4 in 8.3 seconds.

 

It's also ugly as piss, and besides without VTEC it's worthless

they run a high high 14 to low 15, which isn't bad it's a tank i think the new eclipses are hot shit you sure they didn't mean the 1/8th? in no way could 8.3 be the 0-60 and they are dumbasses just cuz a car has 263 hp doesnt make it fast sounds like they didnt take in power:weight ratio

 

8.3 in the 1/8 would mean it runs low 13s, sorry but that's not happening. They weigh 3600+ lbs, they will run at best 14.3s or so.
