Maybe you should have had someone there to smack you in the back of your head for wanting to spend $7000 on that beater.
So you've spent a total of almost $7.4k on the car, the $400 being the car itself, and in another $3k you might have it done? So what's it actually going to be worth? What with all the rust spots and whatnot... say $5k?
Now I'm not sayin anything about my car, I know I've spent too much on mine (the money I've spent on it already could have funded your whole project 3 times over)... but I also know that I have personal satisfaction in it. The trouble I'm having is figuring out how you get satisfaction out of that piece of junk?

cuz i built the car by myself and i'm still young..... and it doesn't have rust spots.... i did the bodywork myself the engine work myself and i'm puttin the turbo on myself..... i am building this car by myself and for myself..... i smile when i see my car cuz i know what it looked like when i got it.... and anybody who seen it when i first got it will tell you that it has come along way......u say u have invested to much money in your car.... what for???..... u did it so you felt good about it not for anybody else..... i like my car and if you actually sat down and looked at it you would appreciate the work that i have put into it.... and the same would go for your car if i looked at it.... cuz i know what kinda work it takes.... be for real.... i never said my car was the fastest nor the sweetest but it is unique..... i'm not out there racin it nor am i takin it to shows..... i did it for me
Now get rid of that POS
Oh and don't blow the motor first, it's not a fun experience. Sell it while it still runs.
