i've never written a ticket to a lowered vehicle. i dont see the point and some cars are pretty low when they're stock...obviously i'm talking about the higher end $$$ vehicles but still. my car is pretty low so i guess its a matter of me being a hypocrite when it comes down to it.

 

All the cops that have pulled me over for things said ANY alterations to a stock car is illegal. I really think it is who you run into and what you were doing has lots to do with it. Oh, and if you cruise around with a big group of "modded" cars plan to be pulled over for a vanillaroma hanging from the mirror.....

I was one of them a few years ago. The cop actually pulled out a tape measure and then gave me 2 tickets that night

 

Unless the metal bumpers are visable on the outside of your car them measuring things will not matter (in court - if your metal bumpers are at legal height that is). I mean if they pull out the tape measurer and your hood is 14" off the ground I don't think you can fight that, haha.

 

its true but some cops are more anal than others and like the power trip. i just dont like doing paperwork lol

 

You sound like my step dad, he is also a cop and does not give tickets for car stuff like that cause he hates all the paper work. His pet peeve is Loud ass bass cars he hates them, but said other than that he does not care.
FYI he works for york county.

 

yea, loud ass bass cars annoy me too but i'd rather be taking care of real crime instead of harassing people who enjoy modifying their car cuz i do it too
