Idk about the AVIC but on mine there is a wire that says parking it is pink you ground it out on the parking brake..so I just hooked it up to the regular in the radio harness to a ground. Alot of people put it on a switch thats hidden..

ive installed a D-3 and if its the same, you need to move a wire in the harness, then ground it. i forgot which wire, so check out www.avic411.com for the exact diagram

No.. I actually just now found out that this damn thing wont even play DVDs.... Not sure if I'll get an external one or just get another HU. Damn it! Why/HOw would Pioneer sell a $1600 monitor/HU that WONT play dvds?
