Default High flow catalytic converter installation (or lack thereof)

In virginia beach, you cannot get a high flow cat put on by anyone.. i woke up this morning with all intentions of getting my new 3"downpipe and 3" high flow catalytic converter welded in my car..

called mizer, they wont do it because its not a factory catalytic converter or something

call Big Als, they wont do it unless my current cat. converter is bad.

called Millenium motorsports, they say that they can do it but they want 140 bucks for it?!(eff that)

Even Direct performance, the dsm shop didnt know anyone that could help me. This is some crap!

I eventually just decided to do it myself and bought a couple of slip-fit exhaust sealing clamps, they should be coming in in a couple days, then i can do it my damn self.. How do most people get this stuff done? stupid va laws.

screw it, its free if i do it and if i use the slip fit clamp seals then i can take it apart incase i need to change a clutch or if i want to run downpipe out real quick at the track. I thought the same thing about destroying the cat though..

put a switch on your coil wire, go about 140, turn your coil off and keep your floot floored. if you're cat doesn't explode, repeat.
