Alright thanks Bill.

Is it customary to see a loan officer first? or see a Realtor? A Realtor would just refer you to someone who would handle your loan?

Let me know the process you guys went through when buying your homes.
thanks

Do the realtor's or loan officers usually just work 5 days a week? Or usually weekends too?

any realtor worth 2 shits will work whenever the hell you ask them too. If you want to look at a house and they say they cant do it that time, go find another agent.

See a loan officer first to see what you qualify for. Most real estate agents work with certain brokers to get kick backs from them. How are you going to look at houses without knowing what you qualify for? And just because you can qualify for a certain amount, doesn't mean you need to spend that much. Get what you can afford now.

Make sure to have a good idea of the value of the home you're looking at.

Our house that we bought was on the market for $243K. The appriasal came back at $225K.

Told the sellers that we wouldn't pay over $225K and that what we paid.
