Default First time Home buying...

Hey guys, I moved to VA beach almost a year ago, to work at CF BMW. I've been living in an apartment, and I'm ready to stop throwing away my money, and buy a house.
I assume the first step is getting pre-approved for a loan.
I'm looking for recommendations on local VA beach realtors, or loan officers.

Any help, advice, or recommendations will be
appreciated.
Thanks
-Dan

You will not regret hiring carol as your realator. Her number is 6851158. Tell her Bobby told you to call.

It really depends on what you mean by "a little". If you think a $260k house is going to drop $30k over the next year you will be disappointed. If anything the market there will probably slow down more and houses will appreciate slower. You probably won't see $50k jumps in equity annually like recent years. While it is more of a neutral market than in the past I think alot of people that are thinking about buying a home are fooling themselves thinking they are going to be able to get a "deal" in a year or so.

while that is true, alot of houses are staying on the market longer and longer and when people have a timetable, they will start dropping their prices to get out. I wish i would have waited 2 more weeks to get my house, after we bought it the owner told us they were going to drop the price another 10k in a couple weeks because it had been on the market for 2 months and hadnt sold.

She called and we talked for almost an hour. She was basically get a feel for my lifestyle and what type of place would suit me the best. She was dead on, first place she showed me was almost exactly what I wanted.

Thanks guys, keep the phone numbers and tips coming. I'll take all I can get.
Do the realtor's or loan officers usually just work 5 days a week? Or usually weekends too?
