I was pulled for my exhaust around 10 times, never ticked though. 4 times by the same cop, he must not have remembered me or something. my 240 idles pretty loud and was pulled 2 of those times from just idling, not the stereotypical raspy annoying loud but the throaty loud.

I gotta say that there is a double standard on imports and domestics. I had 429 in a 72 gran torino with absolutely no exhaust, as in, straight outta the manifolds, and had a few cops pull behind me and just go right on what they were doing. I guess its that imports are not naturally loud, whereas, It's understandable if a 7.0 liter engine is making some noise. Just a thought.

I can see if you moved into the state, but why should someone have to replace their exhaust just to come into a state for an hour? Just seems pretty damn stupid to me. Although some cops will let you go, they can technically still ticket you.

And yes, ANYTHING done to a car in a way that is not stock, is illegal. Gay, but true.

Edit: And yes, exhaust laws do not apply to domestics.

Anything different from stock is illegal in the state of va, trucks and motorcycles go under a different law so you can bring that up, i already tried.
