Post Early model civic all-wheel drive..........

Can anyone tell me if you can adopt the drivetrain from say a early 80's civic to a 92-95 civic? Or, if the tranny can bolt-up to a 1.5L motor?

I found that article too, but decided not to post it for exactly what was said about the gearbox in another post. I don't know how accurate the rest of the page is either....
