Crazy accident on 264 last night.

You have a very accurate account of the wreck. If you did not, would you be willing to give a witness statement to the Trooper that worked the wreck?

Like I said, I congratulated him on helping out in the situation.

I called the trooper and left a message.
Ok in no way am I trying to Jack this thread. More to thank people like you. I was in an accident like this when I was 16. I was hit by a drunk driver who ran a redlight. I was turning at in intersection (in my brand new 03' 1.8t) when a Ford f-350 t-boned me. He hit me at about 65 and pushed the passenger door almost to me and rolled me onto my side. Totaled my car and I broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung. And if it wasnt for good people like you, I may not be alive. So to make a long story short, thank you. And Kudos, you are a hero in my book.
about two and a half months ago i was walking to my car in the parking lot at work. i hear this loud BANG and look to see a truck that had just run into a stop-light pole at about 55mph tip onto its side. i imediatly start running to the truck and pull out my phone to call 911. i get to the truck and it is mangled. the front end is destroyed. i look in to find just the unconcious driver who is completley crushed in the cab. after seeing how he was wedged in there i didn't see how he could be alive. there was no way anything inside of him would be intact. occupying about a foot and half - two feet of space is the dashboard, steering wheel, the guys torso and seat. i couldnt see his legs, but i imagined they would not be much of any leg to see. at this point a few other people driving by stopped. we checked and he had a weak pulse, but we couldnt tell if he was breathing or not. i called 911 back to tell them this info and about 2 minutes later an ambulance showed up. the got out, took a look at him and came to the conclusion that while he was barley alive at the time, there was no way anyone was getting him out intime to keep him alive. after a few minutes they pronounced him dead and put a blanket over him. it was one of the worst experiences of my life. seeing someone dying and knowing that there is not a thing you can do to save them is not an easy thing to deal with. i found out on the news the next day that he was 19 and in the navy. didn't hear anything after that.
