So last night me and my girlfriend leave lynnhaven around 8pm and get on 264 west toward Norfolk and the 64 on ramp. Once we start to merge into the left lane to take the 64 ramp toward Chesapeake I notice some head lights in the rear view mirror moving VERY quickly. I keep my eye on em just to see what may happen.

I see the car side swipe another, lose control, and hit the car behind us. I yell 'HOLD ON' to my girlfriend because I'm expecting something to come flying our way. At this point we are taking the left curve up the ramp right as the gaurd rails are starting.

The car flys beside us missing us by only a few feet. I actually thought we were hit because I saw tons of sparks and heard a loud crashing sound. I see the car go through the gaurd rail, fly about 20 yards through the air and begin rolling about 6 times.

I immediately get out of the car to do what I can to help. As I'm running down the hill I'm thinking to myself, "ok, prepare yourself to see something you may not want to." I thought for sure I was going to see an arm or a leg with no body connected to it.

When I get there I can't even tell what kind of car it is. The entire roof is collapsed, the rims and tires are non existant and at first I thought it was on fire. I see one black guy, pretty heavy set laying outside the car. He's really shakin up but seems to understand what has happend. Hes got a gash on his head and cant stand up because his legs were all jacked up. He tells me that his best friend is in the car with him. The car is on its side so I jump up and hang my head over the door. I dont see anyone inside so I ask him again if he is sure someone was with him, I thought maybe he hit his head really hard and was confused.

At this point a white guy comes running up with a GUN! He puts the gun to the drivers head and starts yelling "WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING, YOUR A FUCKING IDIOT!" I'm thinking this is the driver of one of the other cars and hes about to blow this dudes brains out.

My girlfriend is on the phone with 911 and she starts yelling "HES GOT A GUN!!" He then explains that he is an off duty cop and clocked the guy doing 120mph. I dont know how true the speed is but i was happy to know he wasnt going to shoot the guy.

So I am now looking for the friend and I find him in a ditch about 30 feet away. Again I'm telling myself "there is a really good chance your going to find him dead, be ready for it." I get there and he is not moving, so I tap him really hard on the arm and he starts moving.

He says "am I dead?" I said nah man but you got real fucked up. He said that he couldnt move his legs, so he may be paralized.

By this time all the cops and everyone have shown up so we were able to leave.

I dont know if any of you have had to do something like this but I can tell you that it makes you appreciate life and good health.

Both the driver and passenger were waisted by the way. So please everyone, do not drink and drive.

 

Also, there was a shit ton of car parts that covered the highway. People were hitting huge chunks of parts the whole time. I saw some Civics and Evos and shit swerving to avoid ripping off there front bumper.

Did anyone drive through there at this time?

 

Wow crazy. to you for helping out. I would've done the same. Glad to see you didn't get hurt and that the driver and passenger lived.

My girlfriend kept yelling at me... DONT TOUCH ANY BLOOD!! lol. I wasnt really thinking anything at the time.

It was so serreal (sp?) like it was all in slow motion.

just really fucked up. The undercover said that they passed him just a few blocks before the accident. They were just flyin for no particular reason.

when the dude pulled out the gun i was thinking, this dude just survived a 120mph wreck with nothing more then maybe a broken leg, and now hes about to get shot in the head. thats some good shitty luck. lol

 

Never race:
1) With a passenger in the car
2) When other people are on the road/public roads in general
3) When the cops are chasing you

I dont feel bad at all for the driver, but it must suck to be the passenger.
