SpeedJunkie you're a moron. Anybody can give sound advice to anybody. It's also true that his security clearance is in jeopardy if caught and convicted. I, myself, have a secret clearance and I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize it.

Before I get out of El Navy, I'm going to apply for a top secret clearance because it's a very good thing to have on record in the civilian world (wouldn't entitle me to anything extra while in the Navy, however).

I also say, for your future's sake, don't get caught. I'm not saying don't do it, just don't get caught. Like c-pac or whatever said, make sure it's a DATE and you two happen to hit it off well. Treat her like a lady, and who knows... she might let you break out the anal beads.

and that's what I couldn't get dipshit to understand, I wasn't telling the kid how to circumvent getting charged, I was telling the kid how not to engage in criminal activity. Bringing a chick a dozen roses or 250 bucks to go do with what she wants still constitutes a "gift". It's just a different way of looking at things, and I really couldn't expect most to grasp that concept.

 

I was quoting the part where you gave advice trying to circumvent a charge, which is what the conversation pertained to. I never said anything about you not telling him to do it. If I told someone not murder someone followed by how to get away with it I am sure I could be charged as an accessory (To be convicted of an accessory charge, the accused must generally be proved to have had actual knowledge that a crime was going to be, or had been, committed. Furthermore, there must be proof that the accessory knew that his or her action, or inaction, was helping the criminals commit the crime, or evade detection, or escape.). Simply telling them NOT to do something does not absolve you of wrong doing.

Actually no you couldn't be charged as an accessory. You have to endorse the criminal act to be considered an accessory. Advice is just that, plus telling somebody not to commit a criminal act, but the process which to accomplish it legally is not circumventing the law. People have written books on how to advoid detection from the police, how to get away with murder, how to cheat on your taxes...etc..etc..There are Law Journals out in the millions that show how different sets of circumstances in the same event lead to different legal outcomes. Your description is textbook accurate, but not real world viable.
