Just heard that there were small ground tremors, possibly a small earthquake over in the Hampton/Yorktown area. Anyone else feel this or is my buddy hallucinating?

 

i dont know anything official but here in Hampton(near Langley AFB) i heard/felt to loud shakes i thought a really big tree brach had just fallen on our roof but theres no branch outside. It just kinda made all the doors shake in my house

 

It scared the shit out of me. I live 4 miles from the base.

ive felt a few in the last few days, freaked me out....

 

lol no way, 1) ive lived around the base for that majority of my life so being that i am around planes on and off base due to my dad i can tell the diffrence, two i live in the burbs around the base and if they even thought of doing a sonic pass over a residental area the community would raise hell. I mean they about go ape-shit just from the noise from prapeller(sp) planes from the Air show every year.

 

when i lived in yorktown we'd hear them all the time, a couple people said it's from jets over either the bay or the ocean. it would be 3 or 4 far off blasting sounds in quick succession that would shake the ground, rattle windows, etc.

 

I live by Menchville High school and felt my house shake, and my dog went crazy.

 

not enough room over here, langley is pretty much surronded by residential areas or commercial buildings. I'm not even sure what planes are on base right now? Anyone know?

 

I live in Norfolk and I didn't feel shit.

edit: just saw this said Hampton area I thought it said Hampton Roads
