I'm not trying to argue with you over it but you don't think a $130 markup on two tires is atleast a LITTLE high???

Hell, they could buy them from an online reatailer, throw a 20% markup on and still make decent money off the tires, plus they would get to charge you for mounting them= more $$$

Have you ever heard of retail prices (or MSRP)? Shops are going to charge what they can get. Since you could ride to Casey and get a tire installed the same day you need/want it they can charge what they want. Who is to blame them if people are paying it? Convience is key...except to penny pinchers.

I'm going to move this to the 757 forum, because this isn't so much a review, as it is a complaint. Also, and I'm not sure if this is true for Casey, but some places will lower their prices a little bit if you can bring them a print out as proof that their merchandise can be had cheaper if it's a substantial savings.

$130 isn't pennies. Convienence is key? They told me it would take a week to order them and get them in. I ordered online and got 'em in less than that.

On a side note, I just noted your sig. I want to point it out to anyone reading this thread:

i dont think thats deserving of a thumb down either...the only problem with this thread, is that its just the places pricing. u might not want the tires and think they are expensive, but the next 4 people that call might think its a good deal. its also so hard for businesses to compete with website pricing. theres reasons they can offer it for that cheap, they dont have the other bills like rent, electricity and all the other stuff that goes with owning a business.

and plus im sure that they have the tires there, did the rpices from that website include shipping?

Now I understand why you are arguing, you're trying to justify the fact that you overpaid for a tire.

Maybe the thread title should be "Casey Cycles tire prices :thdn:" I don't have a problem with them and I seriously hope no one would base their opinion of Casey Cycle on a thread on a forum from some guy they've never met.

Shipping was free.
