The Bush IS NOT "broke" the reason it was towed to NOB is because the work that is left can be finished pier side.

Sea trials are scheduled for some time and February (exact dates cannot be posted here) and the ship is actually scheduled for a 6 month deployment sometime this fall.

The BUSH is NOT the carrier intended to head to Florida, it is still up in the air as to which one will be moving.

The carrier will be finished by march.
x2. There are a lot of people from Newport news who go to Norfolk everyday to finish it.

Haha. This is laughable. The Bush IS in serious trouble and IS BROKE. What do you do in the Navy? Why couldn't they get the reactor started?

The bush was not towed to the pier because it was broke. I didn't hear anything about a reactor not starting?

I am on a destroyer but know a couple people who are actually stationed on the Bush. It also talk to a couple people in DESRON now and then, this was a subject on Friday.

The BUSH while at NGNN before sent to Norfolk, i believe it was NOV was started and supposedly things, very important things were breaking and or not working properly. NG at that time put everyone aboard that project on mandatory 7day working schedule to get whatever fixed. Well, NG posted that they will not get it done by the time of the commissioning, so they TOWED it to NOB for the festivities.

Usually it goes
-design
-build
-sea trials
-NAVY gives green light
-commission

but now its going
-design/build
-commission
-Fix
-Sea Trials
-NAVY may accept it
