well i think the contractor that im trying to go through has to be the most retarded contractor ever. First thing lady told me to report thursday, so wednesday night i called the supervisor that i was suppose to report to and he got pissed cuz nobody was suppose to report to him at all. Second i call thursday morning and she told me to report Friday morning, so i get up this morning and am almost all the way to BAE (downtown norfolk) i live in hampton, and i get an urge to call the same boss and he again gets pissed cuz nobody is suppose to report to him AGAIN!!! so i call her when the office opens ( 9:00AM ) and she tells me to report tomarrow ( SATURDAY ) so i get pissed and tell her i cant make it til tuesday FUCK IT!!!! im sick of this shit !!!!!
SORRY for the fuckin novel but shit is pissin me off..........now i feel better

I was pretty sure that there haven't been any lay offs as of yet. You sure you didn't just get fired? The reason they have put all the hourly apprentices on 5 day 8 hour school weeks is to avoid lay offs.
yeah it was a layoff actually cuz i was also a contractor for the shipyard and most of the contractors got LAID off
let me clear some things up for you guys.
The Bush IS NOT "broke" the reason it was towed to NOB is because the work that is left can be finished pier side.
Sea trials are scheduled for some time and February (exact dates cannot be posted here) and the ship is actually scheduled for a 6 month deployment sometime this fall.
The BUSH is NOT the carrier intended to head to Florida, it is still up in the air as to which one will be moving.
The carrier will be finished by march.
