Lol at 5k for a good k swap. The k20a(type r) motor, trans and ecu is 5k alone from hmotors. Now tell me how you are gonna accomplish the rest of the swap on no budget. The harness is a 1000 for a descent made one, the mounts, different hoses, radiator, drive belts, miscellaneous parts(coolant, spark plugs, oil etc) will be another 200. 8k is the closest to cheap you will come. Most likely you have never done a k swap, so you would fuck it up the first time around. Stick to trolling for sale sections booboo and turn your rep back on.

the k20a is 4295 from various importers. Included is the ecu, harness, and basic swap. Conversion harness from Corey sparkks is cheap, or one can make it themselves. Mounts are 349, not 500, less you were able to get black anodized haspirts years back. axles are 120 from yonaka. Fuel system is 249 last time I priced out a setup. Inline pro offers a fuel rail to acomodate the b series fpr.
stock rsx radiators can be had for cheap.
5k is reasonable for a budget.
edit: continuing... Phone went whack.
an A3 ecu is no different than a A2 ecu, once kpro is installed. Arm 1030 units are cheap, similar to the v1 kpro boards in price.
A3 engines can be had for 200 bucks, and gets one on the road.

Re: B20 or K20 swap
If you spend 8k to put a 230whp motor into a civic your priorities are all wrong. I don't care how much you like a civic, that's just retarded. A basic a2 swap is around $3000, kpro $800, non tucked harness axles mounts... So maybe 6k total but 8... Lulz.
