hey wassup guys, so i gotta 2000 Ex coup that has a d16y8 in it. im trying to go from that to either a B series or a K series 2.0. But it being my first swap and no mechanics that work on imports im left to these forums to figure out what i need to do, i know motor mounts and wire harness but is their anything else i need to know??? also were would be the best place to order a motor?

If these are questions you're coming in here asking, then you have decades of research to do before you even remotely consider lifting the hood of that civic, much less thinking about engine swaps. you are wayyyy off in price between those two as well.

a b20 swap can be accomplished for less than 2k. a properly done k series swap will run you closer to 8k. at which you point you can just buy an rsx

and if you have no mechanical knowledge what so ever, youve got alot of learning to do. because 1 swap requires some research on your part of what is needed, and 1 swap requires alot more of that and a lot of knowledge, prowess, and experience

It really depends on what k20 you go with the a3 is only 450 from the base model rsx, there's a lot of submodels of the k series motor
