AutoSource Extended Warranty
So last Sunday I am driving my bone stock S4 and notice that I no longer get consistent boost. I am thinking OK - its just a blown and torn hose. I take the car to AutoHaus and they pull it apart to find out one turbo is blown the other is on the way out.
Thankfully I bought a Extended warranty and paid extra for Audi + AWD + Turbo coverage. First item on the warranty states - covered repairs on all internally lubricated parts. Warranty company hires some inspector to come out and look to make sure AutoHaus isnt trying to help me.
Fast forward from Monday when the claim is filed to Thursday when the claim is denied - the reason is its a wear and tear part not covered even though I paid for it extra to be covered. They say both the inspector and the AutoHaus has told them its a normal wear and tear item and those arent covered in the policy. I am beyond foaming mad at this point. The repairs are around $6000 and the car is not drivable the way it is.
Warranty is http://www.aswarranty.com/plans.shtml#gold

Anyone know of a good consumer law attorney ?

You understand of course that upgrading my turbos involves around $10,000 in parts and labor, replacing the stock ones isnt much better at around $7,000 and yes I am pissed when I paid extra specifically for that coverage only to have it denied. I cant afford to spend 70%-80% of the car's value on repairs after buying the car and warranty...
You need to keep arguing, and keep asking to speak to the next person up the chain of command. If your warranty expressly stated the turbos, then you need to keep arguing. Eventually someone they will either help you out of frustration or you will reach someone who will help you because they should. In the mean time, I would suggest you read over your warranty very carefully and make sure it does cover the turbos. If you absolutely get to the point where they will not do anything then tell them you want a refund on the warranty. You should get at least a portion of it back.
But honestly, keep arguing. Don't yell and don't lose your temper. Just keep stating what the issue is, and how you expect it to be resolved. Do not get in to a screaming match whatever you do. Even if they start yelling at you, which they probably will. When they start yelling ask for their supervisor.

I'm sure it can be done for a lot less than $7 or 10 thousand. Those sound like insane dealership prices to me, I've heard those cars are hellish to work on but that sounds excessive. Hopefully you can work out the warranty and not have to worry about it.
I don't think you realize how much needs to be done to replace the turbos on S4s. dave22 should post the picture he has of him working on his buddy's S4. Its a lot of work, which is why when you're in there, you might as well upgrade because its gonna cost you a shitload more to upgrade them when you get tired of it stock.
