Wait a second... here you say you had a sticker price of $22,500 and paid $17,000 for it with no trade by your smooth tactics and faxing all the dealerships.

Then in this thread : https://www.vadriven.com/forums/show....php?p=2330236
in post #25 you said you paid $20k. Then in post #36 you said you traded in your 02' S/C'ed Taco. Again in post #36 you said you were friends with the employees of the dealership. Then in post #38 you said actual price of truck was $20,999.

If you're interested in helping him out, I'm all for it. I've sold cars to 10 individuals from this site over the past year - all of which I am certainly will vouch for me on not only a killer deal, but also taking care of everything for them. However don't set someone's expectations so high... $17,000 for a $22,500 truck (which by the way, retail on a new 2009 is $25,970 with no options) is a bit absurd.

Nonetheless, the original poster has already contacted me and I've given him my personal information for his buddy.

Haha - all good! Just trying to clear up some things so I don't get a PM saying that someone wants $5,500 off a $22,500 truck!

www.edmunds.com is a great site for information, it provides invoice pricing and true market value (what others are paying). Just make sure when comparing this to dealerships you are adding in the right information, such as options and freight. Most Toyota's have a 10% markup from Invoice to MSRP. With the arrangement I have with upper management at most of my stores I can authorize at, below, or just a hair above invoice pricing to members on this site.

For anyone interested in purchasing a Toyota, as I have direct access to their inventory control system I'd be happy to provide invoices to clear up any confusion!
