You have got to be kidding me. I have spent many drunken evenings on Granby street, and never once had any kind of fight or argument with anyone. Many nights I have walked home from their completely trashed with no issues. If you are getting in to fights every time you go there, you are doing something stupid.

On another note, sorry to hear about the guy who got beaten up.

Never had any trouble on Granby, Waterside is a different story though, everytime I go in there it seems like someone trys to start some shit with me.

One night I was trying to walk out of the bathroom (at HAND) and two guys were blocking the door. I started to walk towards them and one of the guy said something like "there are no cut throughs here" WTF! ARE YOU 12 YEARS OLD AGAIN??? So I shoved both of the guys out of my way and kept walking. As I turned the corner the guy said something to the effect of, "This motherfucker must not know who I am." I turned and told him, "I'll be here all night, come find me" but he never followed I try not to get real hammered when I go out to the bigger clubs and night spots because it seems that is where the people looking for trouble usually are...

Been completely and utterly trashed many times at waterside too... drunk enough that I might as well have been on acid in Jillians 3 times that I can recall.

Never had any trouble there either.

 

yes, i have spent quite a few nights drinking at both waterside and on granby st.. no problems at all. this is why I dont understand how this happened because my brother never runs his mouth and he knows his place(which is to not get in a fight)..

Yeah I would say that granby st is one of the places you can get really drunk and not have to worry about fights. I've been going out there reguarly for years. Sure, there can be a few random assholes anytime you have a section of bars, but for the most part granby is pretty safe.

The block, waterside, etc. are questionable at best.

 

I hope your brother pulls through and they find who did this.

I agree, I've never had any problems on Granby St., Jillian's either come to think of it.

 

the block maybe but venture out a street or two past that and you're just fine.
