Installing a blower is generally a pretty big deal, so $800 doesn't seem too unreasonable. I was quoted $200 just to bolt my header on. Around here it may be hard because that probably is at least a full days work if not more, and you'd need a garage since doing it in a parking lot probably wouldn't be the best idea.

He may be better off checking some of the Honda boards and trying to find some members around the area that would be willing to do the install for him. I know most forums always have install days and friends work for alot less money then shops.

well, i am gonna assume that your friend bought it new or from another person... cuz kyle would have offered to help w/ the installation.

kyle did the installation himself and if i remember correctly, it was a weekend project... fri-sun. did have few minor probs.... which took longer to exactly pin-point, locate and fix the prob. he took the kit off now to sell his car. i think taking it off is harder than putting it on, so he had a shop back in nova do it.

i hope the soon-to-be-boosted prelude is not the sportshift model..... which prelude is this?

which prelude do you drive?

stop by and see me..or aim me. lemme look at it and i can give ya a price. it will be close to the 800 though. S/C's on the h22 or 23 is not an easy job...nor simple. it is involved.

FC735 is aim. or stop by and see me at work

800 is a serious rip-off.

thats almost half of probably what you paid for the kit.

you ever done one?

wondering...last i was told...it was about 10-15 hours of work.

myself...i charge 40-60/hour for installs. depends on what it is. thats why i said to see me, so i can see what kit it is, and will give a price. not like i have done custom installs before, though

i know..EVERYONE here has a buddies friend that does it for beer money........but....you get what you pay for. you dont know how many jobs i have fixed that others have tried to do a install, fucked it up, and i had to fix it.

First off Joey is not going to rip any one off, so if he gives you a price it’s a good one. Second I know to put a supercharger on a V6 mustang shops were charging $800-$1300 and that’s for a direct bolt on, no fabing up any thing, and no taking engine parts off. That price is a rough average from across the county from about 2 years ago.

okie first of all..i didnt know joey was gonna charge that much. i referenced the price of the install from any shop in nova that will rip you off; *thinking* that somebody like joey can do it for less and with just as much professionalism. so this wasnt a personal price attack on any fucking body. i know joey is a good mechanic and i know hes not gonna rip anyone off.

so you can stop jumping down my neck like im beating up your bitch.
