Anybody else go? I didn't get to see many of the cars like I wanted to. We ended up talking to some freinds near where the newer model mustangs parked. Several of the stangs sounded healthy but that certainly doesn't mean there fast. One had a tag of blown lx (red couple) and a white coupe schultzs or something like that. Anybody know the scoop on them? Not many turbo car that I saw (thats what I am into) but overall it was a good time.

The red hatchback w/ "blown lx" is Jason Nolan's car. Its a 331 w/ a t-trim. It runs very very well. The other mustang you are referring to I beleive says schuks, and is owned by Chuck Scott. Its an all-motor car that I beleive went in the 6.70's the other night.

Next weekend should be pretty big at Fast Freddy's. Memorial Day and 4th of July are usually the biggest days up there.

 

I was there for about 2.5 hrs left about 9. Of course I looked at the mopar muscle cars.

 

Sweet, sounds fast. That must be on N20. I haven't run into many mustangs in the area that quick unless they have a turbo or supercharger.

 

To the best of my knowledge the car is N/A, or atleast was last year. I know it was in the deep 7's N/A last year and they had quite a few bugs to work out. There are quite a few quick mustangs around here but you are right most are supercharged.

i still loved seeing last year a dude bring a pretty blue notch up with a 8" cowl hood. pulled the hood off, and after a few minutes, i heard someone ask "when did ford put the dist in the back?"

 

The blue coupe you are referring to was owned by David and Billy. Last I heard it was being parted out but I cannot guaruntee that is still the plan or that it has happened. It was a beautiful car.

Man, you know everybody. Ever see any old school turbo dodges. I think they were mid 80's. I used to have a buddy that raced some in Roanoke. He's owned dodge shadows, omni's and chargers. All were shelby's as far as I remember.

 

I remember a guy that used to come around w/ a white turbo dodge. I beleive it was a shadow but this was a couple years back. I dont remember the details but I beleive it was a pretty quick car.
