The transformation has started...
True, I could have done that too.
The current exhaust is pretty rusty, so I decided to go inside and just check out prices for different exhaust systems. While doing that, I noticed the different liter types w/ different cylinders. Knowing that it was a 2.7 - I was able to see that the 2.7L is a 4cyl - hence why I know now that it's a 4cylinder. I'm pretty sure the whistling noise is a fan belt... and the belts are being replaced. All fluids will be flushed and replaced too. So the truck should last me a good while.

hope the whirring sound isn't a wheel bearing going out on you... that could suck
. but you'll find out soon enough, if its a wheel bearing that shit will keep getting louder. probably just the tires being loud though

Actually, I was in a car accident. Wasn't her fault, wasn't really my fault.. but a girl hit me at 40mph. Totalled the WRX but everyone was fine. There is a thread about it around here somewhere. Judge dismissed it almost immediately. Cop was extremely nice to me(in and out of court), and was surprised at how I handled the whole situation.
Insurance is definitely lower though.

haha, yup. it's really not difficult - i just found it funny when I called my parents (i'm at college) , and they couldn't tell me any details about it b/c they had no idea. So when I finally got home, I was unable to physically look under the hood and figure out what it was. Hopefully the noises will go away w/ the belts being replaced and tires being replaced eventually. I don't know too much about automobiles in general, but I've never been around pickup trucks - so it was just new to me. All good now. inline 4, 2.7L, 150hp.
