My friend was driving in Albermarle (sp?) County about 1.5-2 months ago when he saw a cop and decided to try and run from him. Well to make a long story short he was caught. He received reckless driving (87 in 55), eluding police, and failure to yield the right of way tickets.
Well he recently received his "punishment" for his infractions. He decided to not go to his court date since his witness wasn't going to show. It turns out no warrant for not showing up, his reckless was reduced from 87 in 55 to 77 in 55, the failure to yield was dropped, and he ended up w/only $251 in fines (including court fees), 10 points, and apparently he isn't going to lose his license (which I don't get).
How lucky can you get? He's also been w/me to court twice and both times we had our charges dropped and didn't have to pay court fees. Talk about one lucky lil bastard.

Yea I knew a guy who ran from the cops once, good friend of mine, seriously I think it takes balls (and no brains) to run from the cops. I guess if you get away with it and no one is hurt its good, but damn if you arent putting EVERYTHING on the line at that point. Your friend god DAMN lucky
