aight, heres a starter: what motors came with the body style previous to the 2002's.... and which are better? im kinda lookin at a 2.5RS four door, so if youve got any helpful info on that car, lemme know.

 

teh 2.5 is an excellent engine....has good low end torque, and decent top end. only problems i have run into on ANY subaru is that you need to change timing belt, cam and crank seals at about 60k miles. DO THE SEALS !!! otherwise, it will end up having a nasty oil leak.

i have several that come through the shop with over 100k miles on them, still running strong.

the choices you have for engines:2.2 sohc, 2.5 DOHC, and 1.8/1.5's....however, the latter two came in the earlier loyales and such. 2.2 is a decent engine too....but the 2.5 is more common.

 

Yeah. The RS is my favorite Subaru body style ever. If you can find one, jump on it.

My boy from DE (currently at Vanderbilt) has a pretty hooked up RS. He's coming here in March for a weekend if you want to check it out. Strut bars/sway bars/lightweight pulley/headers/exhaust/intake. I like it.

yeah....imprezariders basically got the car i want.... theres actually two in my lot.... a silver one and a blue one.....and both are pretty dope... but the silver one just stares me in the face everytime i come out my front door saying: "BUY ONE NOW.... YOU KNOW YOU WANT ME" its just not fair. haha. but anyways....

oh, heres another question.... ive got integra type R interior that i kinda like a whole lot... what are the interior options that come in the RS's? someone also told me that my seats would fit in that car without very much modification... is there any truth to that?
