im not fending for street racing...but racing at the track is not any safer than streetracing on a country road with no cars...there is no such thing as safe racing in my opinion

thats about one of the stupidest comments i've ever heard of... at a track event there is EMT on the scene in case something happens, as well as less chance of spectators being hit during a crash if one actually happens. its also more rewarding to race at a track, because you get your time slip and instead of just beating a 15 second civic by however many cars, you have the slip to tell you everything in your run in case you want to make improvements.

 

here in roanoke we dont have 100 cars lined up to get hit...usually everyone stays back, dont they? and regardless if theres an emt, you can still wreck, and get seriously hurt, my whole point again...there is no such thing as safe drag racing

 

Yeah, I have seen my share of wrecks in roanoke but it was all to stupidity. In old dominion a cobra was playing "catch up" to a n/a talon and the talon hits his brakes to slow down. The cobra did not have room to stop and ended up going into a ditch where a concrete slab was and well.. lets just say tht cobra was not worth fixing after that. No injuries but the owner of the cobra was watching and not even driving the car.

 

a friend of myne who was there told me about that...he said the fag pulled the ebrake, and that a bunch of dudes were looking for him to kick his ass...
