Default stolen car

My girlfriend's roommate had some friends visit sunday, and their car was stolen from the VT drillfield(!!!) sometime after 4pm. All I know was that it a red cavalier with "nice" wheels and some kind of $1500 tv in the back. I tried to get some more info from the owner, but she seems kind of clueless (didn't even know her own license plate # when she called the police). So I'm not sure what kind of wheels or tv it was, but just be on the lookout for anything suspicious, or like red cavalier parts. Man, wtf has it come to when a car can be stolen in the middle of the day right in front of the drillfield???

i highly doubt it was stolen...but it could happen.

i would exhaust the idea of it being towed first. seriously...

the idea that thief would steal a cavalier of all cars..and especially at VT drill field (highest traffic on campus) is quite odd.

if it is indeed stolen..ill make sure and look out for a red cavi. gluck.

I too was stunned when she said it was a cavalier, but i'm just saying what they said the police told them -- whatever tow company tech/blacksburg police use didn't have it. And, the only reason for it to be towed would be for parking in a handicap space (i _assume_ this wasn't the case). You don't need a pass to park on the drillfield on a weekend and the football game was well over by then. But who knows, maybe the towing guys can't keep track of the cars they bring in. Anyway, it's one time that being towed wouldn't be so bad.

In case anyone is curious... here are some pictures she sent me. I guess the wheels and the tv/dvd gave someone some incentive to steal a cavalier. Anyway, it's a 2000 Cavalier with 18" Ion 131's and 7" Lanzar screen with a Pyle dvd player. She said the tv stuff was $1500 and the wheels and tires have got to be $1500 too. Sure they're ugly, but they're not exactly cheap.
