Default Stock Trans Am times

Whats the best time you have heard a stock Trans Am run? Newer, 2001 and up. Tryin' to get an idea of how fast they are, seein' if I wanna step up or not. I'm thinkin mid 13's-low 14's in the quarter. Oh, and its not a WS6. If its in that range, it should be a really good race.

depends on the weather, gearing, transmission, and driver.

in my experience, any combination of those can get you anywhere from 13 flat to mid 14.

Your average LS1 would probably be on the lower end of mid 13's..

6 speed 01-up LS1 with a good driver and a decent tire (ie nittos, no et streets or anything) should be able to coax at least a 12.9 out of it. they have the mph most of the time.

I didn't think they were quite that quick. My friend JJ's trans am was only putting 2 lengths on me and not pulling before I had the juice. I was hoping that I would pull a half length or two on one. Hell, I might be able too, I should be in the mid to high 13's with it, according to mach performance.
