spring showdown 3
Yes, I went to both floors. I've been to MDA several times before and IMO it was better in previous years. No hard feelings. If I recall correctly, you help run/organize it don't you? Don't take it personally..
I don't mean to come across so harsh, but like I said, I wasn't impressed. That's all. All of the cars were pretty nice, and I can really appreciate all the time and effort that went into each and every one of them, including the damn PT Cruiser...

I generally despise the whole local PT Cruiser club because most of them have cheesey flame stickers from Advance Auto and chrome trim everywhere like they're some sort of modern economic hot rod... some of those people do some really corny things to their PT's.
The one at the show was pretty nice in the show aspect.
BTW, I saw the FD there in the parking lot but never saw you inside... Did you ever see me? lol
Ooh, and I'd say my two favorite cars were the Impala, and mostly the one sitting in front of it with the suicide doors that was tangerine and gray IIRC. That was the most amazing car there, period.

my point is just that i think it's by far the nicest collection of cars at any show around here.obviously you'll find nicer cars at shows if you travel to Charlotte,DC or Pigeon Forge.
i was really excited about this year's show with the new venue and increased number of cars,so it just dissapoints me to hear that some people weren't as impressed.
on that note,if anybody has/knows of any nice, racy imports, put them in next year!contact me if interested.i do know of a few cars around here that should be in the show........
Chris
I agree.

Yeh, I was there for about a half hour i guess... never saw you though!

You could even state that it was once a Peter Ferrel Shop/Race car - fully built top to bottom in-house. That's not something you see every day.
it was the same cars all weekend.did you go inside?did you go to both floors of the show?not much to show for sport compacts, but where else around here can you find as many nice street rods, hot rods and restorations at one show?nowhere i know of remotely close.
as for the leaky turbo Civic-i built that car.
has the typical leaky head gasket at the front passenger corner, and a leaky cam seal.
the other Civic in the show was obviously not my style.every year i try to get some nice imports in the show, but nobody comes through.
i'd be surprised to see any super nice Hondas at the upcoming show either.nothing against the organizers of that show, but there just aren't many nice imports around here at all....mostly just wanna-be thugs with fart cans.
