Default (sorry in advance) Spotted a Lotus in Roanoke today!

Spotted a dark green Lotus Elise today on Electric Road..

WHAT THE FUCK?

First time I can recall ever seeing one in person, on the streets, and I only caught the ass end of it as I was pulling into the McDonalds parking lot right down from my work at Allstate during lunch today.

I know you guys are tired of the "spotted" threads but this was spectacular for me. Very interesting looking car that definitely stands out in a line at a red light full of Camry's, Sentra's, and Civic's. I just thought it was neat and wanted to share.

A friend of mine said he saw one the other day.

Ahh... reminds me of the days when I had my Elan. Althought my Elan was junk. It was in the shop more than it ran.

Man, woman? Young, old?

I don't know much about the specs but I think it's really a cool looking car regardless of what performance aspects it does or does not have. It doesn't look like everything else you see on the road...

it pulls over 1.0 g's in stock form, weighs like 1700 lbs or so, and does the 1/4 in like mid to low 13's with basically a Celica GTS engine w/ 190 hp or so..

I'd drop in a turbo ITR engine haha(they used to use honda engines).. imagine 300 whp stock block on a 1700 lb car... around 2x's the hp it had ha..

Another Lotus sighting....

I passed a white Elise out in front of Tanglewood yesterday. Anyone else see it?

Lord I hope not If I see one at NB or MotorMile wasting his drivetrain. I might find a way to convert my drivetrain to the front.
