Well a park sounds legit to me. Since it is a public park and not a business, I don't think they can boot us for loitering. As long as we aren't causing a disturbance and nobody calls us in for noise or something, it should be fine.

the only problem with a park is time. i know here in staunton, our park "closes" at 10. then anyone inside the park (unless city, state workers, or show releated crowds) is kicked or removed. so idk about parks up there in the burg but probably the same thing.

 

Where is this park at? Is it lit well enough to check out the cars that show up?

That lot out in front of the burnt down Move Gallery doesn't sound like a bad idea.

 

Everybody used to always hang out at the MCdonalds off of 33 all the time. It's usually not an issue until people start acting stupid. That or the parking deck by auto zone on 33. You hardly ever get run off from there. Back in the day you could find 30-40 cars hanging out there any night.

 

I've never been to it so I don't know about the lighting, but it sounds like it is actually in Bridgewater. Is there a park and ride in Harrisonburg? If there is, it should be pretty well cleared out by 6pm and it should have at least decent lighting.

 

yeah been to the little meets at miky d's last summer....the parking deck is also not that bad. i think thats a great idea...if we get run off then we can check out the park or the movie gallery parking lot.

 

How about the liberty gas station up at the 257 exit on 81. I live pretty close to there and there should be no problems up there.
