the t25 will do just fine for him. We ran one on a 1.6 SOHC(yes I know he has a dohc) and it did perfectly. It should work just fine on his b16, it may falter a bit up top, but it won't be terrible...at least he will have the low end and mid-range where the b16 lacks it.

err, cootees used to own an integra, as well as a couple DSM's.

Comparitively speaking... B18a/b, b20's, and H23's have a DECENT amount of torque compared to vtec d's,b's, and h's..

We aren't comparing 4 cyl's to turbo diesels or anything..

Back on topic,

I would say go for it, you have the stuff, or some of it.. what motor do you have? This is a daily street car afterall, quick boost is fun sometimes too.. although it is pretty annoying having to try to stay out of boost getting on the interstate..

I know XS/SSauto has a rather bad name, but 95% of their wastegates seem to work out pretty well, have decent diaphragms, etc etc.. most people just recommend double checking the tightness of the bolts. You can get them for like $90 now..\

The good thing is, this has been done many many times, I would recommend searching on honda-tech and homemadeturbo..

Also, DSM SMIC's will fit perfectly in your passenger fender, I have one, its really Clay's (musicmaniac4life) but I doubt he will ever use it, so you can have it if he approves.. it wouldn't fit in my effin fender, preludes are so crammed packed with crap.

Thank you Garen. Like I said what I stated was just from what I have heard. I did used to have an integra and would prefer nothing to do with honda again so I will just shutup and leave those experienced in turbo'd hondas answer those questions.

At least my facts about the dsm's were accurate. If you do want to get into rebuilding the turbo there is a great write up on vfaq.com as well.

I think I remember you having alot of problems.. well I went through the same thing, and after fixing every possible thing (only seal I have not replaced is the rear main) I am enjoying the car.. really is fun! I can understand though, I hated my car for a while there..

the turbo will do ok if you are looking to make a decent amount of power, and make the car slightly quicker. But a T25 is way too small for any B series motor. Im assuming you have a B16...the quick spool up will help you in the low end mid range area where b16's suck at..but up top, that turbo is going to run out of steam as opposed to one with a bigger trim/wheel..and has a better effiency range.

you might want to monitor your oil lines/reducer though. I have seen too many turbo honda's (as well as mine) not get the right amount of oil feed to the turbocharger, and destroy the seals within the first few months...the factory oil pressure on honda and acura vehicles is way too high for Turbo applications, which makes it tricky to boost it.

FWIW,
If anyone can use it Ive got a TINY turbo off something (bike?) that a bud gave me years ago thats just taking up space in the garage. I was going to use it on a turbo mini-chopper project that will prolly never happen so its free for the taking if someone wants it.

Cant recall who makes it but I can find out in a day or two when I have time to dig it out and look at it. Bearings seemed good in it since it spun freely, not a lot of shaft play, and no chipped blades that I can remember and other than that I cant promise that its any good.

Since its free you gotta come get it if you want it as I dont have to the time to box/ship it. If no one wants it then no big deal as Im sure at some point I'll decide my weed whacker could use some boost .

I would say the turbo is good for 225 whp give or take some depending on how far you wanna pass the efficiency level hehe..

you could always switch it out later for something else if you really wanted..

myclone, pm marshall, I read he was looking to turbo his gsxr600, not sure of the turbo you have but it might be worth a shot to clear some space..

Ya I think Im gonna definetly stick with this T25. I am finding parts slowly but surely at low cost or no cost.
