Haha, I don't either. I'm just talkng shit to do it. Not hardly anything I have said in this thread is true. Looks like people would catch on by now... I change shit all the time to keep people guessing.

Typical "I know nothing about this car except what I hear on the internet response." Little did you know, the turbo was a T-67, a small turbo for a Supra. And big turbo supras don't have a problem spooling off the line, since they are now rasing the tires off the ground. Just need to know how to set up a car. But of course you would know that if you knew what you were talking about.

BTW, Peace out. This thread is over. I'll post when I am ready to show the car.
I was there at NB, me and Steve were talking about the Supra. We never said it would be slow, we were joking and talking about how it probably had a 100mm turbo and would run 9.0s at like 130. Also, wasn't the Supra guy looking for 700+hp out of his T-67. Thats not small by any street car standards. There is a lot more to a turbo than just inlet size. Its just that many Supra owners and especially RX-7 owners are conned into buying the biggest turbo they can get because they think it will make the most power.

Well, its sounded like he was serious. And 9.0's is slow. A 700 hp race gas Supra is actually not high for Supras standards. And I understand about buying the biggest turbo and such, and not buying one for what it will be used for. This happens very often.

Not many huge turbo supras trap really high and et high. That is a myth told by people who have seen 800 whp street tire street car supras run at the track. They don't try to boost off the line and when boost hits the spin down the track. Properly setup cars do not do this, and the one at NB looked setup.

Just because a Supra might make 900hp doesn't necessarily mean it will outrun a 700hp Supra. The 700hp Supra may have a MUCH better power curve than the 900hp Supra. You keep looking for peak hp on cars when your concern should be where the car makes that power.

You're an idiot.

I don't know you, but I have seen you post several times about the amount of seat time you need. I'm not gonna go to the normal joke about you wrecking, cause thats not cool. But, that was your last car and we know the power level it was at.

As far as the IRS deal goes, I've done that on my last car. I also however changed the shock/struts to try to help transfer weight. I'm sure if you look hard enough you will be able to find a set of adjustable shocks/struts to try to help out with this, rather than slap a bigger tire on it. Another thing I did was disconnect the front sway bar to allow the front end to come up easier. Some don't reccomend this, but to each their own.

Last time at NB I shook my head and laughed at you to, since your knowledge of cars if far from what I expected. "That Single turbo supra is going to be slow, just like all the single supras at the track. They can't spool off the line."

I typically don't talk shit behind other people's back. I am a fairly upfront person and will tell you what I think.
The supra deal is my initial thought about all of them, because most of them are like that. (Dyno Queens) If they aren't a dyno queen, I'll pay respect where it is due. I actually had thought about buying one, but opted for a piece of land.

As far as setting up a car, I would imagine I have a bit more experience in that than a lot of people on this board. A lot, not all!

The point I'm trying to make here is that all you do is talk, talk, talk. With VERY limited experience of racing. (or NONE at all) You can say what you want about me, but it's hard to argue with a guy holding a handfull of 10 second timeslips. I, my friend have put the hard work, money, countless hours in the garage, more money, and made the long trips to the track just to break something and do it all over again, even more money and went back to the track to race the cars I love. While you have punched a LOT of keys on your keyboard, and possibly pulled the stock motor out of the RX7, Maybe!

In this post, you sound like a different person. And thank you for not joking about me wrecking. That was not because I can't drive, no matter what anyone thinks. Getting sideways at triple digits is not easy to control. I have no drag track experience, and I do need seat time. But I have driven a lot and even a couple pretty quick cars, even though I did not take them to the limit.

I am disconnecting the front sway bar when I drag race. But the V8 RX-7 crew have helped me in my build, and they do not recommend changing the shocks/struts for drag racing. I do talk, and with very limited experience at STRIP racing. I know you have been there many times with a couple very fast cars. But from what I was told you never did much of the work to your cars, and they were tuned by others. I don't know this, just what I heard.

I'll tell everybody here right now I did almost nothing to my first car, everything was done by professionals. If this was being done by professionals, I don't think it would have taken the 5 months I have been working on this car. I have done everything on this car by myself. I have asked tons of people for help but never had any money to pay them after paying for school. So everything has been done by me. The only thing done by somebody else was the motor being built.

Whoops, I said I wouldn't talk about it anymore, but you kind of provoked me...

BTW I can't see those times... But I know you ran them. Wish I could have saw the turbo stang. Anyway, its cool. And my bad, after reading what I wrote I came off kind of harsh. Just the typical response after being called a stupid fuck.
