Wow isn't that like a sin in some states to own an fbody and a mustang? I can see some family disputes over such a thing. Welcome to the boards Cory, hmmm people named Corey or Cory are still cool as shit. You just joined the club listserv too correct?

I have to agree, the WS6 is perhaps one of the only domestics that I actually give respect to, nice car man.

Why would it be so hard for you to give a domestic respect?

Alright, well here goes the minefield, gotta watch what I say as I can see it right now this is going to spark a huge debate. I really just dont have alot of respect for many of the current muscle cars out there. The SS, z06 and the WS6 being three of the exceptions.

To me cars such as the Gt's are just far too slow for the whole domestic hype that goes on. For the amount of displacement they have they are just too slow. In addition they are mainly known for just straight line performance and therefore if they get beat at their own game it just really really downplays their glamor IMO. A GT costs roughly the same as say a WRX, and yet both pull about the same times, not very impressive IMO. With the more recent imports that have come out it just really begins to point out so many of the muscle cars flaws, when they are made for mainly one purpose and even in that purpose get beaten.

Now I know this will spark comments like "what about the 03 cobra" etc, but you know what that thing isnt that fast stock. The soon to be released STi and Evo are so extremely close to its straight line performance it isnt funny, and they do it for the same price, all while maintaining the traction, unbelievable braking abilities, turning abilities, and luxuries that we have all grown to love of the modern imports. Other comments such as "it can hit 11's for less than 1000 dollars or so" im sure will also be brough up, but again I think comments such as that are kind of pointless too since after seeing the stock setup on both the STi and Evo it is extremely apparent from my opinion that extremely similar if not better figures will be available to both of them for the same price.

Now if we wanna talk about old muscle cars I cant say much, but from my experience they are retardedly inefficient. Heavy, gas guzzling, poor turning, fast machines. Again they were made for one purpose, and their ability to obtain fast speeds isnt that superior and also is overshadowed by just about every other poor aspect of their streetability.

Like I said I'm sure I'm going to get some flames for it, but honestly I'm not trying to piss anyone off, and like my original post said I just intended to compliment him on his car. I just am expressing my own personal opinion here, and im sure mine wont match others but thats fine, i suppose if you want you can express it as well, just try to do it without just blatantly flaming. In other words if you dont agree with my opinion then lets see if we cant get a nice mature discussion going on about the pro's and con's of each.
