I've currently got a 38mm offset and the tire and rim are about even with the fender. I'd love to get a 40mm offset to bring em in just a bit, but 42mm works just fine. And what do you mean "cookie cutter" wheels? The offset just specifies how far the mounting point of the rim is off center. a 42mm offset means the "hub" is 42mm OUTSIDE of the centerline of the rim.

With stock suspension, maybe. And that's a big maybe. But I'd have to see that to believe it. You can put anything on a car you want. I've seen 20's on a WRX. That doesn't mean they fit right.

With a car lower than stock height, you have to run high offset.

Sunk wheels? You mean deep-dish? I personally think the deep dish rim is DEAD SEXY. It's just very hard to find a nice deep dish rim that'll compliment the high offset, or even work with it. There was a gorgeous M3 at my old job w/ some 19's and they had like a 3 or 4" dish....absofuckinglutley GORGEOUS!

why would height determine offset? If you don't know anythign about something don't make an argument about it. You only make yourself look foolish. And no his car was on lowering springs.

Chris, why do you wanna see pics of my car? Look in my into thread, there's a pic there. The edge of the tire is almost flush with the fender. No, my wheels don't stick past the fender like those ghetto mexican (not racist, merely stating something I've noticed) cars.

And lowered cars need offset so the tire will clear the control arm/fender.
