My name is Mike. Not new to the forums just new to the western region. I drive a shitty 94 Toyota Celica. I've seen a few good looking cars out here, and a lot of rice. I was wondering if there is anything that goes on in the southern west va area(car meets, practice events, or anything like that.) I might be willing to make an hour drive to VA Tech if there is anything out there worth going to.

 

there is a few shows at tech in the fall and spring but i have never attended any of them so i couldnt tell you if it was worth it.

 

They usually have a good turn out,the party after the show is always the best part...Just ask Manning.

 

There are two srt-4s that drive to shelor alot. I know they are from WVA but not sure where. One is on the forum under aspsrt04 or something. Look under the "grudge match" forum he is on there

 

welcome to the area and yes it def shitty and rice infested except for the few of us lol........nothing really much goes on up here cause the ricers have fucked up everything but we mostly spend fridays and saturdays down at motor mile dragway in dublin racing......I'm in Bluefield so I'm about a few minutes away but the rice is just as bad, too many cocky high school kids in bone stock civics and mustangs running around....

 

Yeah, I've been here a week and I am already tired of seeing Cavalier's. I've seen like 4 or 5 running around with neon and strobes in their headlights. Where is the motor mile dragway at from princeton?

 

Some rough directions:

460E to VA 100 S (Pearisburg), Follow Route 100 S till you get to Dublin and take Route 11 towards Radford, about 5 miles and the speedway/drag strip entrance will be on your left when the road goes to four lanes and gains a median. About an hour to an hour and 15 minutes.

 

That's a little bit of a drive. I might make the trip next weekend though, see what it's like. Wish I had my old car so I could actually drive, instead of just watch. If anyone in the area has a 240sx for sale for cheap, I'm in the market.
