I like sportsman trees (easier on us folks that dont have RTs in the single digits).

While I dont care for pro trees they dont scare me either but they do make my RTs look like Im in a coma (not to mention I can red light better than anyone else on a pro tree ).

While I’ve never been a big import fan, READ I got the most competitive domestic sports compact around at the time. I do like the fact that people put time into making something different go fast.

To say that you should not waist time, money and effort to make a 4 banger go fast is like saying the only thing you should waist your time and money on is V8’s and exotics.

So I guess the only thing you should see at any track are mustangs/Fbodys/mopars, that would make racing rather boring if you ask me.

For me the entire sports compact thing has always been intriguing because your taking something that no one is expecting to see and making it faster then most would consider possible. Now granted Hondas have been used for this a long time.

An example of this would be a Metro with a LT-1 shoe horned into it verses a F-body with a LT-1 in it. If I have to choose which I would proffer checking out and or racing at the track it would be the Metro with the LT-1 because no one would be expecting it…

pro tree vs. sportsman-its all in what you like i reckon, although in my experience, most pro tree people completely suck on a sportsman tree. they tend to redlight by oh...about .998 seconds.

do i have a drag car? at present time, not one of my own per se. some of us actually do speed/performance work for a living, and dont have time for it.

as for my comment about slow cars....nothing impresses me until it breaks single digits in the quarter. but i have been around drag racing almost all my life, nitro is in the blood.
