Got my first ticket today...but not for speeding, guess..
You drive out of state? or order one?
I had a V1 but I left it at my grandparents place in Alabama
I avoid muffler and tag tickets by saying I'm waiting for Toyota to send me the parts...
Sucks man
tell me how the new detector works out I might get one

I find that not speeding pretty much works.
I don't understand why people speed. I'm always on time and don't feel the need to speed even if I'm not.

It just eliminates the hassle and the worry.
But now this has become an issue, so its bye bye V1 and hello Bel STi.
Man you're missing out then. We have an incredible time on our cruises hitting the turns up in the mountains at fun, not stupid, speeds yet if we were to get caught we'd be in trouble.

BTW-how do the new units do with instant-on laser radar?i was under the impression that you're already caught once it detects the signal and alerts you?
chris
i agree.and if you only need it for mountain "cruises",why even run it in town?that would prevent any hassle.no reason to be speeding in town anyway-other than to support the stupid riceboy "race everywhere, drive like a jackass 100% of the time" stereotype.i doubt Rangers have detection technology,so you shouldn't have any problems with your current Valentine on the parkway.

In this area of VA at least its not a big issue. Cops assume no one has a radar detector therefore they dont try to 'trap' people...they just run around with their RD's always on, its nice.
In NC, though, they run instant on 24/7 trying to catch any speeders with RDs.
In the 6 months i've had the V1 i've never even seen a single cop run Instant on or laser....they do run laser occasionally, but since the cop has to be sitting still they dont do it that often. Ive never been hit with laser btw.
