Tonight is my last night as the secuirty firm i worked for...But..to tick me off..they told a police officer for an assult charge to subpone me as a "Witness" When i wasnt at all...this would take 1 days pay out of my new job and require me to come back down from richmond during my week in training...

All i did was give the stupid mother fucker a ban notice..yet iam somehow a witness....any idea's as to get out of this WITHOUT getting thrown into jail ??

 

Did you try telling the officer that you were not a witness? Maybe youcan go to the courthouse ahead of time and talk to some people there and tell them your problem. They may dismiss you of it, they may change the court date.... or they may not do a thing. But it's worth a shot.

 

Yea..i called the va commonwealths attounrys office...left a message for the attorney that decided i "HAD" to go..trying to explain this is going to cost me $ for lost hours and a pain in my ass

I am at work. We are doing inventory this week so... we had to shut most of performance-curve down and I really have nothing to do today since we can't start counting until after 5.

 

just go to court, i dont think there is away out w/out maybe talkin to the prosecutor(sp?) first..besides you get paid for it

 

You don't get paid to be a witness in court. If you do, I've been ripped off many times.

You get paid to be a juror though. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

 

I got a letter excusing me from it

I told the prosuctor i couldnt make it due to my new job..gave him my statment and he let me go

 

haha yeah thats what i was thinkin of lol, mustve been an early morning...i was jury for federal instead of state, they gave me a lot more than i thought..paid me 45 for gas and $9 on hr on top of that

 

I was called in for jury duty once but it was state... and it was for some sick charges for a dirty old man and a 9 year old. Very disturbing. Glad I didn't have to hear more about it than I did.

I only got like $45 for it total for sitting in IIRC.. I would have made a lot more at work but didn't get paid at work too because they knew court was paying me. lol.. that kind of situation sucks!
