Drag radials

Default Drag radials

Does anyone know if they make Full out drag slicks or radials for a 17" by 7.5
and if so what is the best to go with? I need to stick what little power im making to the ground.

slicks no.

DR's, yes.


want real slicks, run a 15. there is no physical way to make a true wrinklewall slick in a tire that large, without it being a big mo fo.

You're going to run true slicks? Does the stock SRT4 drivetrain handle slicks well?

I was using some BF Goodrich Drag Radials they shaved 2 tenths off my 60' However I was still spinning some....

Of course not. This is precisely why Richard was spending so much money on his srt-4. Wheel hop is a bith in those cars.

Wheel hop is a bitch with the stock engine mounts. I am running the psi-fi mounts with poly bushings which helps ALOT, but still get a little hop on the street. The slicks I was running didn't wheel hop because they were big enough to not be over powered to make them start slipping. My street tires are a different story. I have never tried drag radials. The only time I had a drivetrain issue is when I spun one tire during a burnout and seized the spider gears to the pin in the diff. Has not happened since the quaiffe.
