Default Car Audio Schools

Does anybody know where there is a Car Audio School close to VA? I've done some looking on-line and all the ones I have found are in FL or way out west. I found a really cool one in Phoenix but it's almost $6,000 for 8 weeks plus you have to pay for lodging. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to see your ride. Is it green?

I don't have any information about audio schools.. but GOD DAMN that's a lot of fucking money. Realistically, I don't think it would help you in the Roanoke area to find a job or to increase your income. You'd really just be down and out $6000+ bucks man, because most of the shops around Roanoke don't seem to pay a damn thing really, and I don't think experience would get you any more money at these small shops. Guess I could be wrong. I thought I was wrong once before, but I was mistaken.

It's not something I'm not trying to make a living off of. Just a little crash course would be awesome. I know a good bit about stereos, I mean I installed my cd player, amp, and sub, but I would like to know some stuff about making custom enclosures and stuff of that nature. I guess I'll have to make the mistakes and find out lol.

Oh yeah mines red nothing special but you can check it out anytime I'm out a lot just stop me.

what training? no one at Best Buy knows what the fuck they're doing

I worked at Best Buy for a little extra cash during the Christmas season and it's kind of a joke.. I remember several years ago one of my friends had a cd-rw installed at Best Buy before the Geek Squad was ever there, and low and behold... they managed to somehow install it UPSIDE DOWN! LMFAO! How? I don't have a fucking clue. I couldn't make that mistake if I tried!

I work with a who used to be an installer at Best Buy and he said all you have to do is pass a few tests on a computer. That's no the kind of training I had in mind.

Exactly. I worked in pc sales/technology and everything in the store is test based. If you pass a friggin' test, you're qualified.
