Brazilian Ju Jitsu and or Muay Thai?
I took BJJ when I was 1 Ranger Battalion. Fucking sweet as stuff. Its a type of grappling mainly. Using choke holds and arm/leg bars to take out the enemy.

Damn why can't we have a place like this in Roanoke...
Has anyone heard of Ray's Judo-Jijitsu-Wrestling in Salem?
I really want the Jijitsu/wrestling more then Muay Thai. Of coarse none of it will come until I get my pasty white ass into a little better shape. Which I am in the process of now...

the drive is prolly about 45 mins to an hour. It might be a little tough to find for an out of town person but that's why I use Mapquest. most of the time they are close enough for me to find what I'm looking for.

Or that’s my generalized uneducated explanation of what it is...
Watch the ultimate fighter on spike TV tonight and you will likely get some idea as to what it is. Most fights go to the ground at some point and once they’re the guy’s ether use BJJ or wrestling or a hybrid of both.
BJJ and wrestling are great ways to increase you core strength, ie back, abs, hips and generally any other muscle in the middle trunk of your body that can be hard to hit with weights.

i wish my teacher still taught
i have taken Traditional Japanese Ju Jitsu, ( stand up combat ) and it was his form ( gyote ) which is 2 handed ju jitsu, and its usually just 1 handed, god i miss it
i did a little brazilian ju jitsu, but i prefer to stay off the ground
